The equipment for mechanically setting a roof support in an underground roadway consists of two single-chain conveyors for transporting the support units to the roof and sides of the setting positions, and transport equipment for material needed for filling cavities behind the roof and sides of the support. There is a carriage (1) with wheels (2) and a platform (3) conforming to the profile of the transported support unit. The wheels (2) run along the top surface of the conveyor (11) sides. The wheels are mounted on an axle (4) projecting outside the platform (3). The carriage (1) is provided in its top platform (3) with openings symmetrically spaced about its axis (5) for inserting bolts (6) for attachment of the material transport equipment. This consists of two separate containers fitted with holders (9) of the same shape as the profile of the platform top (3) of the carriage (1).
