The combined bed and chain has a frame constructed of at least two telescopic sections which can slide between an upright and a reducing position. There is a slatted grid with its slats laid perpendicular to the direction in which the grid may be extended. The grid has one end slat attached to one framework section, and the other end slat attached to the other frame section to prevent slip in the pullout direction. The separation distance between the slats can be varied in magnitude between two limiting values.
