<p>The power operated chuck has clamping jaws radially adjustable in a chuck body, and adjustable centrifugal weights in the chuck body to compensate for the centrifugal forces acting on the jaws, and acting in the chuck axis direction on the power components which have effect on the clamping jaws. The centrifugal weights (4) are directly formed as power pistons displaceable against the pressure medium, acting counterwise to the piston (6) of the power cylinder (5). Both centrifugal weights (4) and the power cylinder (5) piston (6) have their outside surfaces (7, 8) in relation to the chuck axis (3) jointly supported against a pressure medium common cushion (9).</p> |
