Fuel injector for gas turbines - has equalising pressure valve in fuel return circuit controlled by counter acting springs

Fuel is delivered from a pump (1) proportional to engine speed to a valve housing (2). The valve housing contains a rebound plate section (14) pivoting on a fixed axis (13) to regulate the valve outlets (15, 16). The rebound plate is pivoted by an electromagnet (18) excited by an electronic fuel regulator (4). The rebound plate is further controlled by two springs (19, 20) acting counter to each other and regulated by the accelerator pedal (5). One valve outlet (15) leads to the combustion chamber fuel jet (6) and contains a calibrated restrictor (24). The second valve outlet (16) regulated by a pressure valve (3) leads back to the fuel tank (7).
