<p>A continuously operating decatiser has a rotating cylinder heatable from within to decatising temp. On the mantle surface of the cylinder there is a large number of holes, and at the edges, outside the zone covered by the goods during working, a continuous circumferential groove which can be connected inside the cylinder to a vacuum. An endless blanket by which the goods being continuously processed, are pressed against the cylinder surface under the pull of the vacuum, has a coating on its outer surface impermeable to air, whilst its textile inner surface is in contact with the goods. The edging strips also, on the inner surface of the blanket facing the grooves, as well as the actual edges are coated to make them impermeable, or the edge zones complete are produced from material impermeable to air. Eliminates the remaining lack of a complete seal between blanket and cylinder in the edging zones.</p> |
