<p>1469710 Lubricating greases NDAIMON and TIZAWA 6 May 1974 [14 May 1973] 19829/74 Heading C5F [Also in Divisions B2 C1 and C7] (1) An aqueous sol of a compound obtained by replacing the Li<SP>+</SP> or Na<SP>+</SP> of by other cations (e.g. from K, Ag, Cu, Ba, Pb, Sn, Zn, Al, Bi or Sb) (see Division Cl) is treated with an organic solvent such as an amide, amine or glycol, e.g. formamide, ethylene glycol, 2-naphthylamine, glycerol or piperidine, to forma lipophilic viscous material which may be used in combination with an oil as a lubricant. (2) In Example 8, an aqueous sol of the Li compound of the above formula was treated with ethylamine and filtered, and the residue was stirred ultrasonically in silicone oil, when the compound swelled to form a gel useful as a heatresistant grease.</p> |
