PURPOSE:To provide a lighting device using a semi-conductor switching element for lighting a discharge lamp having a preheating electrode, in which device a constant-voltage element is inserted in parallel to prevent the fluctuations due to the characteristics of an SCR element and the breakage of the SCR element due to the high voltage applied thereto upon inconduction of a switch. |
