The electro-mechanical fuel injector pressure regulator for industrial combustion engines consists of a conical housing with dividing internal membrane diaphragm. Fuel is pumped into the lower part of the cone and flows via the regulating valve to the outlet pipe. The valve is attached to the underside of the diaphragm. The centre of the diaphragm is attached to a cylindrical armature held under pressure from a coil spring. The armature moves within an electromagnet coil. The valve opening depends on the difference between fuel and atmospheric pressure, the spring tension and the current in the magnet coil. Current for the coil is provided by a control circuit coupled with a fuel flow meter and the electro-hydraulic pump operating the injector.
|
