1452596 Centrifugal shaft coupling ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 21 May 1975 [23 Nov 1974] 21745/75 Heading F2U A centrifugal weight for an ignition distributor of an I.C. engine comprises a bore 2 for pivotally-mounting the weight, and a plastics element 3 covering part of the edge of the weight for acting as a contact cam as shown or as an end stop. The element 3 may be made of injection moulded carbon fibre reinforced thermoplastics or sintered polyimide and formed integrally with, or separately from, a bush 3a. A sliding shoe 4 may be mounted on the weight by a pair of raised spigots secured into a bore 5 and a recess 6. In Fig. 4 (not shown) the plastics element (9) is dovetailed to the weight and in Figs. 5 to 7 (not shown) the plastics element (12) serves as a spring end stop for abutment with a limiting stop (14).
