<p>The failure detection system is used in a double radar system comprising two transmit-receive radars, of which one is functionally operational. There are two information extractors coupled to the operational radar. Two sources of radar signals, called reference signals, having known coordinates are created and a logical analysis is performed of the information related to these reference signals as made available in the extractors. From this analysis, conclusions may be reached about the presence of a failure in the transmitter/receiver in functional operation, in the extractors, or in the reference signal sources.</p> |
