<p>The assembly of two sheet-metal components which overlap, being particularly for light fittings, uses a friction strip (1211) on the upper component (121) fitted in an opening (110) in the lower component (11). The faces (112) of the opening are forced against those of the strip which fit in it. The portions of the strip passing through the opening can be at an angle of at least 40 and preferably 60 deg. to the plane of the upper component. The strip can be so thrust into the opening as to close it.</p> |
