<p>The sugar beet lifter comprises a frame supported on back wheels (2) and a pick-up chain (3) which discharges the sugar beet (4) onto the rotor. An elevator chain (5) conveys the sugar beet into a collector bin. A rotor axle (6) has two circular plates on it, a lower plate (8) of wide diameter and an upper plate (9) of smaller diameter. Above the upper plate is a central basket (23) preventing the sugar beet from falling. The sugar beet on the top rotary grating (9) are guided by a roller bars parallel to the rotary grating surface, and a fixed grating section. The sugar beet on the bottom rotary grating are guided by a grating between the front side of the elevator chain (5) duct below the pick up grille. A plate underneath the bottom stringer of the pick up chain (3) prevents soil from falling on the lower grating (8-10).</p> |
