The connecting busbars of this high-voltage circuit breaker are air-insulated and supported by insulators mounted on an interconnection unit (7) on top of the circuit breaker assembly. The connections in this unit are insulated by synthetic resin. The gas filled circuit breaker (1) separates from the cable intake unit by means of socket-type links. A current transformer (10) is mounted in a recess between the main links and is fixed to the circuit breaker so that it can be withdrawn at the same time by means of another set of socket links. This design permits a reduction in size of the whole assembly and allows easy maintenance on the current transformer.
