PURPOSE:Aromatic polymers having nitrogen-containing cyclic groups, which contain at least one recurring unit of the formula I(where A1 is aromatic group;A2 is an organic group;Z is-SO2- or-CO-;p is O or 1;Yis -O-or-NR-;R is H or a hydrocarbon group; W1 and W2 are-NH2, or monoor di-substituted nitrogen-containing groups derived from -NH2;B is H or a bond with X; X is group which forms 5 or 6 memberered ring together with two nitrogen atoms and two carbon atoms in ortho positions of A1 which said nitrogen atoms are bonding to;and 1 and m are 0 - 3) in an amount of at least 30 molar pi based on all recurring units.
