PURPOSE:To simplify packet retransmission supervisory control by abolishing retransmission data during supervisory timing and restarting the supervisory timing when the 1st data or the 2nd data other than the retransmission data exists at time-out of the supervisory timing. CONSTITUTION:The 1st input data 5 is received by a transmission side exchange station 2 at a point of time 10 and the supervisory timing 16 is started. The new 2nd input data 6 is received at a point of time 11 and the 1st transmission confirming signal 7 to the 1st input data 5 is received at a point of time 12. Since the 2nd transmission confirming signal to the 2nd input data 6 is not received at a point of time 12, the supervisory timing 16 is restarted. Although the 1st retransmission data 8 is received at a point of time 13, since the supervisory timing 16 is applied to the 2nd input data 6, the 1st retransmission data 8 is abolished and the supervisory timing 16 is over at a point of time 14.
