In the prodn. of charged dry storable lead accumulators by forming, washing and drying, after washing, the plate surface is treated with a matl. (I) favouring penetration of H2SO4 for producing the negative electrode plates and improving the activation capacity, esp. the cold capacity. (I) pref. is a saccharide, saccharide deriv. of an organic acid with one or more OH gps. per mol. and/or an organic di-, tri-or poly-alcohol. The dischargability of accumulators activated cold (below room temp.) is improved. |
