The device for adjustment of grinding machine is for use with work pieces of predefined thickness. The grinding wheel or roller is height adjustable on the machine stands. The work pieces to be ground are fed below the grinding wheel using a conveyor belt system. A lever mounted pivotable roller is attached to the bearing housing of the grinder roller. The pivotable roller is mounted to one side of the grinder roller in the work piece feed direction. The pivot drive shaft for the roller is actuated by the end switches of the lift or drop motor.
