The device has a supporting bar for the specimen held in a holding unit in the temperature control device, from which it projects at both sides. A strip is provided in the supporting bar, which can move under the specimen and transport it. Flaps in the bar at intervals corresponding to the specimens permit the specimen transport in one direction only. A recess at the tip of the strip takes in the foremost specimen and brings it into the effective area of the hammer.
