The connector comprises two housings locked together by a bayonet or screw connection and each having an insert containing a sectional terminal sleeve connected to a fibre optic bundle. The sections of the sleeves (20) connected to the fibre optic bundles (11a, 11b) are located in the housings (15, 16) in such a way that they butt against each other when the housings are brought together and are forced backwards under pressure when the housings are locked into each other. Each terminal sleeve comprises a pin, a spring clip and a rubber O ring in a groove in the pin. |
