The machine consists of a support grille of endless chains and rotatable metal slats. On the input side of the machine sprocket wheel is adjacent to a spool frame storing the basic yarn, which is then drawn through a trough containing the wet dressing. The support grille is guided by rails. The top strand of the support chain travels through a drying section. When the yarn leaves the drying section, scissors cut the continuous yarn into equal lengths. The cut yarn then passes a wetting section to form the heads on the pestles.
