<p>The bonded windings are produced in electric motors by introducing heat-conducting granules into the gaps which remain between the coils, the magnets and the housing walls or the inner walls of a mould for forming a housing. The granules are then impregnated with a binder which is introduced in the liq-state. Pref. the granules consists of sand e.g. spherical-particle beach sand, or anodised Al particles, and the binder consists of polyester or bitumen to which a filler e.g. Al powder may be added. The filler may be introduced by centrifugal action. The air remaining between the granules may be displaced by a filler-soluble gas e.g. CO2, propane or "Freon 12" (RTM), after which the binder is introduced.</p> |
