Hydraulic lifting equipment particularly for battery-powered transport trucks, includes a circuit with an accumulator in which the fluid is stored under pressure, together with a pump and a control changing over from lifting to lowering and vice versa. The control unit has slide valves (28, 40) actuated by a control lever (64) common to them and an electric motor (22). Starting from the rest position, whether lifting or lowering in a first stage the stationary pump (20) is bypassed by the fluid, and the accumulator (10) and lifting mechanism are directly connected together (26, 34, 36; 36, 42, 26). It is only in a second stage that the pump is connected between accumulator and lifting mechanism, and starts up.
