Flat key for cylindrical lock - has cavities in one face transversely offset from those in opposite face

The flat rotary key is four use with a cylindrical lock, having ramp faces at the tip and double rows of cavities on the two wide surfaces for positioning locking rods. The double row (1) in one face is offset in the transverse direction to that (I') in the opposite one. The oblique ram faces (17 - 20) are in the form of individual grooves extending beyond the lengthwise centre line, and arranged at intervals from each other. They can be so arranged as to form an undulating line in the front face of the key.
