Pressure cylinder for producing or damping pivot movements - for machine parts e.g. press table, braking and locking means in rotary press

The pressure cylinder comprises a piston which moves in a cylindrical tube which is open at the piston rod end. Pref. the piston is in the form of a double sleeve, and the cylinder is mounted stationarily, with the free end of the piston rod pivotably connected to a rocker. The need for a cylinder cover with piston rod guide including fitting and mountings for cylinder cover, and for associated lubrication, is eliminated. Also, the cylinder can be mounted stationarily for pivot movements of the piston rod. The pressure cylinder is suitable for the pivot drive of a press table of a rotary press for articles of clothing, and for braking it and for the actual press movement.
