<p>The fixed roof is for storage tanks. The tank jacket and the roof edge are dovetailed to each other. Welding ring sections are inserted between the tank and the edge of the raised roof, and fastened by tack welding. The welding ring is then completely welded to tank and roof. The roof edge has an I-shaped ring (24, 26), and the upper edge (10) of the tank jacket has a stop assembly ring (21). The flange of an end ring is extended past its circumference by a disc (18) with a sealing lip (19). Stop wedges (17) are inserted between the flanges (24, 26) of the end ring, and engage on the assembly ring. The welding ring (23) engages on the disc, and is welded between the flanges of the rings (21, (26).</p> |
