Medicament consisting of the triterpeneglycoside oleanolic acid heptaoside of formula (I): together with pharmaceutical diluent such as starch or powdered sugar. (I) has tranquillising, hypotensive, cardiotonic and antisclerotic activity and may be used in the treatment of neurasthenia, psychasthenia, vegetative dystonic, neurotic overexcitement as well as neurosis of the cardiovascular system, early stages of hypertonie and in sleeping disorders.
