The holders (21, 22) are mounted in a stream of cooling air flowing through inlet holes and motor driven fan to outlet holes. The holders are mounted on plates inserted between ribs in the casing. The motor is used in hand power tools and has carbon brush holders (21, 22) inside the casing. The brush holders are diametrically opposed, and the brushes are pressed against the commutator on the end of the rotor.
