The combustion engine is of the type having at least one cylinder (11A, 11B) containing a reciprocating piston (20A, 20B). A connecting rod (30) is at one end secured to the piston (20A) whilst the other end is linked to a rectilinear-guide (20B, 11B). The courod pivotably carries a swivel element (40) provided with a circular bore or eye which contains a rotatable eccentric secured on the output shaft of the engine. The guide may consist of a second cylinder (11B) arranged on the opposite side of the first cylinder (11A). The second cylinder contains a piston (20B) secured to the other end of the courod and reciprocating in this second cylinder. |
