PURPOSE:To obtain the subject lubricant capable of reducing abrasion of rails or vehicles and fuel of locomotives by blending a solid lubricant with a base oil containing an esterification product of a (polyether) polyol with a specific fatty acid, aliphatic dibasic acid, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective lubricant obtained by blending (A) 0.1-30wt.% inorganic and/or organic solid lubricant with (B) a lubricant base oil containing an esterification product of (i) a bi- to hexavalent (polyether) polyol with (ii) an optional 6-30C fatty acid and/or (iii) a 2-36C aliphatic dibasic acid or sulfur- containing dibasic acid.
