1468789 Windows; stays W WINKHAUS and H WINKHAUS [trading as AUG WINKHAUS] 7 May 1975 [8 May 1974] 19198/75 Headings E1J and E2F A window has main and casement frames abutting in a plane parallel to the window, a cover flange 42 on the outer peripheral surface of the casement overlapping the main frame, the frames being pivoted by an arcuate element 66 engaging an arcuate pocket 68, the pivot axis (97, Fig. 3) being adjacent the free end of the cover. The pocket 68 is formed by a two part plastics housing, while element 66 is of metal. The main frame has a metal cover plate 58 and plate 64, and a seal 52 on the casement frame abuts against a portion of member 58 in a recess. The window also has means 26 supporting the window when open comprising a spring biassed lever 106 (Fig. 5) located in a housing 96 in the main frame, with rolls 142 running in a guide rail 132 in the casement, the window being held in alternative open positions by engagement of rolls 142 with abutments 144. Locking means 154 (Fig. 2) secure the casement when closed. |
