PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct recording image with high resolution and to make high-speed recording possible by piling up an ink sheet and a recording paper and by applying a microwave to the ink sheet to hot-melt the ink in the ink sheet to perform a transfer to the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:An ink sheet 30 is obtained when a layer 32 containing a polar solvent, which is not melted by application of a microwave, is formed on a sheet base material 31 and a hot-melt ink layer 33 is provided on the polar solvent-containing layer 32. Or an ink sheet 40 is obtained when an ink layer 45 formed into a multi-cellular structure by a filler 42 containing the polar solvent, which is not melted by application of the microwave, and having a multi-cellular space filled with ink components is formed on a sheet base material 41. The ink sheet 30 or 40 is placed upon a recording paper 7 so that the ink layer 33 or 45 corresponds to the recording paper 7, and the microwave 2 is applied from above the ink sheet to hot-melt the ink in the ink sheet to perform a transfer to the recording paper. When the microwave 2 is applied to the polar solvent, molecules of the polar solvent move actively and heat is generated by the collision and friction of the molecules so that ink components in the ink layer 33 or 45 are melted and transferred to and recorded on the recording paper 7. |
