PURPOSE:To enable high-speed analysis (or separation-quantification) of a component in blood, such as hemoglobin or glycohemoglobin, by a method wherein the average particle size of a filler in a dried state is made <=4mum. CONSTITUTION:A sample is made to enter a six-way valve 23 by a syringe 18 through a suction nozzle 20 and a sample transfer tube 21, and then it passes through a filter 24 and enters a separation column 25. A washing liquid 30 is supplied through a three-way valve 17. A liquid A 11, a liquid B 12 and a liquid C 13 are supplied to the column 25 through a three-way solenoid operated valve 15 by a liquid supply pump 16. The absorbance at a prescribed wavelength of an eluate from the column 25 is measured by a detector 27. As for the separation column 25, it is filled up with a filler which is prepared by introducing a functional group into an inorganic or organic porous substance and of which the average particle size in a dried state is 4mum or below. Since the performance of separation can be improved and a short column can be used therefore, according to this constitution, a time for analysis can be shortened. |
