发明名称 AUTOMATIC DECELERATION CONTROL
摘要
1429547 Automatic deceleration control GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 31 Oct 1973 [21 Nov 1972] 50530/73 Heading F2F Vehicle deceleration is controlled by a first circuit which senses vehicular deceleration rate and produces a first electrical signal proportional thereto, which is received and compared with a preselected signal representing a required deceleration value in a second circuit the resulting signal being communicated to vehicle brake valves for controlling the application and release of brake pressure. Vehicle deceleration is detected by a decelerometer 13 providing an electrical signal which is amplified by a resistor-coupled amplifier A3, smoothed by an R-C filter circuit R13, C2, and fed to an input of a comparator A1, the other input thereof being fed from a voltage source via an adjustable resistance series R1 R2, R3 and providing the preselected desired deceleration value. If the actual deceleration is greater than the desired value, the comparator output is + 9 volts, whereas the output is -3À5 volts for the converse situation. An R-C circuit R4, C1 provides a linear ramp signal value change between these output values for smooth braking transitions, a diode CR2, and a diode CR1 coupled to resistors R5, R6, R7 limiting the signal to a voltage follower A2 (with unity gain) to minimum and maximum values for full brake application and release respectively. The follower A2 controls current drivers (via diodes CR3) of individual brake valves for the vehicle wheels. This control can be overridden by individual anti-skid circuits for each valve connected to the circuitry after the diodes CR3. To avoid an inordinate time delay for the capacitor C1 to recharge after a signal had been passed for full brake application, to prevent the possibility of skidding due to such over-application, the negative signal from the comparator A1 is passed through a diode/ resistor parallel combination CR4, R14 to an inverter 30 or comparator which produces a positive signal to a field effect transistor Q1 or similar solid-state element to prevent the capacitor C1 from discharge; this occurs after a coupled capacitor had charged (during a positive comparator output) and then discharged during the negative comparator output down to the switching threshold of the inverter 30. To prevent this situation from occurring at the initial part of the control, coupled NOR gates 32, 24 feeding the inverter 30, initially charge the capacitor C3 during an initial negative comparator output. A switch S1, either a logic or pedal travel switch, allows the automatic deceleration control to take place or causes a continuous high comparator output for full brake release. A similar switch S2 provides opportunity for manual overriding of the automatic control.
