1446562 Selectively hydrogenated block copolymer blend SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 24 Oct 1973 [26 Oct 1972] 49481/73 Heading C3P and C3G A composition comprises (a) a selectively hydrogenated block copolymer having at least two A blocks and at least one B block, each block A being a polymer of an alkenylaromatic hydrocarbon wherein no more than 25% of the aromatic double bonds have been reduced by hydrogenation, and the polymer block B being a polymer of an aliphatic conjugated diene hydrocarbon, wherein at least 80% of the aliphatic double bonds have been reduced by hydrogenation, and (b) 5 to 95 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (a) of a polymer of an (alk)acrylic acid, ester, nitrile or amide, a conjugated diene hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon, and an alkenyl aromatic hydrocarbon or halohydrocarbon. Component (b) may be a random, block or graft terpolymer or interpolymer, particularly an interpolymer where the base polymer is a conjugated diene/vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon block copolymer. In the example polystyrene-hydrogonated polybutadiene-polystyrene is blended with an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer.
|
