Precast concrete modular housing - uses male mould with side shuttering to build unit with walls, roof and openings

The modular housing unit is casing using a rectangular box male mould (1). A prefabricated reinforcement mesh is lowered over the mould and side formwork panels with blanks for windows (4a) and doors (5a) are bolted around the mould. The concrete is poured and a structure created with four walls and a roof. The floor is bolted on later by holes in the base of the walls. The modules can be arranged in a variety of ways and grouted together to create a whole house.
