COMMUNICATION METHOD FOR DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM OF AUTOMATIC VENDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a system and to facilitate the system operation by securing such constitution where an automatic vending machine (terminal) transmits its own data to a center station at a time point designated previously by the center station with operation of a start communication button while sharing the same telephone number as a telephone set. CONSTITUTION:A center station 1 is connected to automatic vending machines (terminals) 21-2N via public telephone circuits 7 and MODEMs 4. The terminals 21-2N use the same telephone number as a telephone set 3. Then the system operation is started with operation of a start communication button 16 connected to a center communication means 202. The station 1 is called at a time point designated by the station 1 to send data to the station 1. At the same time, the next data transmitting time point is received from the station 1 and the telephone numbers are transmitted for formation of pairs of terminals 21-2N. Thus the system constitution is simplified and the operation of communication is facilitated.
