<p>The base comprising a first shank supporting the machine arm and a second shank whose free end underlies the needle, has the shank provided with two separate chambers extending away from the arm and serving as oil sump and oil pump receptacles, respectively. Pref. the chambers are provided with co-planar covers attached to the base by studs and the oil sump is spaced from the walls of the chamber to provide air cooling dusts. The cooling air being circulated by a fan and exhausted through an outlet opening. The machine frame is free of hot spots.</p> |
