<p>The door case is assembled from shaped plastic bars, with hinge strips screwed into holes in one or more of these. The bar (5) which accommodates the strips (7) consists of integral foamed material, with membrane areas (13) which are more rigid relative to the inside of the bar. The drill holes for the strips cut into the membrane areas formed by the shaping of the bar, over part of their length at least, at an interval from the surface where the strips emerge from the bar. The membrane areas cut by the strips may be in the form of a series of channels, or inward facing edges (10, 11) in the bar concerned. These may be cut by the holes. The membrane areas are pref. on the wall side. The bars are relatively light in weight, and can be easily extruded.</p> |
