A weighing scale, in partic. a wall-mounted scale, with interchangeable additional scale plates, is designed to facilitate interchanging of the plates and to permit simultaneous reading of the pointer w.r.t. the normal wt. scale and the additional scales. The additional scale plates are for indication of parameters other than wt., e.g. calories. The basic device consists of a scale pan, a character plate with a wt. scale, a frontal transparent plate, and an indication pointer rotating between the scale and the transparent plate on a shaft. A slit in the side of the device permits insertion of additional scale plates which cover only half the character plate and have a cutout for the shaft.
