Automatic regulator for combine harvester cutter platform - hydrostatic cylinder piston unit supplied by a pump via differential distributor, with feelers

Combine harvester consists of a cutter platform to which is hinged a superstructure containing a hydrostatic pump and oil-container. On the outer sides of the cutter platform are hinged feelers which are in contact with the ground through rollers. The pivoting differential distributor controlled by the feelers conveys a quantity of fluid to a hydrostatic, double-acting cylinder between the superstructure and the cutter-platform. The distributor unit has holes for coupling the distributor to a hydrostatic circuit. Inside the unit are a casing and rotary stop valve controlled by rods by the feelers. The casing has holes which coincide with holes in the stop valve which are joined by a diametric duct, when the cutter-platform is parallel to the ground. When the cutter-platform is not parallel to the ground, the holes in the casing connect with ducts positioned around the circumference of the stop valve so that oil flow to the hydrostatic cylinder and turns the cutter-platform.
