The racking or bottling pump consists of plunger reciprocating in cylinder, which is formed by a tubular part with blank flange at one end and leakage chamber at other end. The two parts are held together by a set of drawbolts terminating in the flanged part of the leakage chamber. The leakage chamber is fitted with a set of sealing rings which seal the cylinder space against the leakage chamber and a second sealing ring which seals the leakage chamber against the outside. The leakage chamber is fitted with a draining opening which is connected in an airtight manner with the fluid storing vessel. Between the rim of opening and the seal is a gap.
