Support for underground rooms, mining entries etc, consists of one or more members secured to the surface by means of strata bolts. The members are in the form of wire mesh mats (5, 6) designed as three-dimensional curved exclusively wire structures, with their spatial arrangement dictated by the corrugated wires. - The wire maths held to the roof etc, by the strata bolts can serve as reinforcement for subsequent concrete support work.
