The device is an assembly with two harnesses for the fixed threads, and a plunger detail with at least one needle for a stitch thread. The plunger follows the motion of the harnesses controlled by a suitable driving mechanism, downwards beneath the crossing point and upwards to the crossing point, so that each time the shed is closed a swinging motion is transmitted to the plunger. The simple arrangement can be installed at both sides and also in the middle of the weaving width of the loom.
