<p>PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion-resistivity of a vessel body by forming the wet type flue gas desulfurization device with the vessel body consisting of an electrically conductive material covered with the corrosion-resistant material of electric nonconductivity. CONSTITUTION:The absorption tower tank 5 of the flue gas desulfurization device consists of a kettle body 17 and the resin lining of an electrically nonconductive corrosion-resistant material covering the kettle body 17. The kettle body 17 is connected with the negative electrode of a direct current power source 21 and an electrode 24 is connected with the positive electrode of the direct current power source. An electric current of 0.01-1mA/cm<2> with a voltage of 1-10V is impressed to the material of the kettle body 17. By this method, when a defect spot is generated in the lining 18 of the kettle body 17, the hard scale consisting of calcium compound is deposited to prevent the mother material of the kettle body 17 from corrosion.</p> |
