1427966 Heat processable photographic silver halide material EASTMAN KODAK CO 14 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 28364/73 Heading G2C A sensitive photographic material comprises a support coated on one side with a heat-processable photo-sensitive composition containing a photographic silver halide, a reducing agent and a silver salt of a thione having the Formula:- where R' completes an optionally substituted heterocyclic nucleus having a 5-membered heterocyclic ring and Z is optionally substituted 1-10C alkylene, the components of the photo-sensitive composition being in one or more layers. R' may complete a 4-methylthiazoline -2-thione, benzothiazoline -2-thione, 5-phenyl-1,3, 4, oxadiazoline-2-thione, 5-phenyl-1,3,4,-thiadiazoline -2-thione, 4-methylthiazoline-2-thione, 1-phenyl- 1,3,4,- triazoline -2-thione, 1-(2-carboxyethyl) imidazoline -2-thione, 1-(2-carboxyethyl) benzimidazoline -2-thione, 1-methylimidazoline -2-thione, benzoxazoline -2-thione, 4-methylthiazoline -2- thione or 4-(hydroxymethyl)- thiazoline -2-thione. Z may be methylene, ethylene or propylene. The silver salt of the thione may be formed in situ from the thione and a soluble silver compound e.g. silver trifluoroacetate. The silver halide may be silver bromide or iodide and may be formed in situ. Sulpholane (thiocyclopentane -1-dioxide) may be used as a toner (Ex 3). U.K. Specification 1280724 is referred to.
|
