PURPOSE: To return the press member back to its original position after releasing the tongue piece by composing so that a part of acting member is kept touched to the press member while the tongue piece is kept put into the buckle and so that the said part is released therefrom upon releasing the tongue piece. CONSTITUTION: This buckle consists of a latching member 5 to latch the tongue piece 14, an acting member 11 to move the latching member 5 from the operating position of latching the tongue piece 14 up to its releasing position, and a press member 13 to operate the acting member 11. That press member 13 is always kept pushed to a given most frontward position by the springs 9, 18. The buckle is made so that while the tongue piece 14 is kept put into the buckle, the part of acting member 11 is kept touched to the press member 13 and so that upon releasing the tongue piece 14 from the buckle, the said part is released therefrom. As a result, the press member 13 operated by the seat belt user can be returned back to its original position. |
