1506696 Heat exchanger tube supports and casings HOECHST AG 10 Sept 1976 [17 Sept 1975] 37619/76 Heading F4S Tube oscillation in a heat exchanger is prevented by flat bars inserted between the heat exchange tubes 9 and arranged as one or more sets such as 10 or 11, the bars in each set being interconnected by cross-bars 12, and each unit thus formed being joined (e.g. by welding) to one or more of an array of rods 7 extending parallel to the tubes 9 and encircling the tube assembly. Fig. 1 shows a steam condenser of which the casing comprises two spaced portions defining therebetween a gap bridged by the bars 7 welded at their ends to said portions. The gap is encircled by a further casing portion joined by walls 14 to the other casing portions. |
