<p>A colour-coated, wear-resistant plastics component for internal decoration of aircraft and vehicles is of thermoplastics, esp. polycarbonate, ABS etc. and/or of duroplastics, e.g. phenol, melamine, polyester. Between the base material of the component and the coloured coating there is a barrier layer of thermoplastics, which is based upon a binding agent, the solvent of which does not attack the base material, and which is stable w.r.t. the solvents of the colour coating. Pref. binding agents for the barrier layer are mixts. of polyamide, polyurethane and vinyl with (solvents) mixts. of alcohols, esters and ketones. The barrier layer is pref. 40-60 mu thick and may be coloured or colourless. The covering layer (coating) is pref. polyurethane-or acrylic-based, about 70 mu thick, opt. containing an olefin-based, powdered additive; in particular a material such as polyethylene or PTFE of other fluorinated hydrocarbon cpd. in powder form.</p> |
