Decanting centrifuge with rotating housing - has screw conveyor inside rotating at different speed and fluid outlet tubes on housing wall

The decanting centrifuge works with laminar flow. A rotating cylindrical housing has a tapered part rotating on a hollow shaft. Inside the housing a screw conveyer (24) with helical blades (22) rotates at a speed different from that of the housing. The helical blades are fitted to the hollow shaft (24) of the screw conveyer which at one end forms a chamber (28) with an opening (30) serving as an input opening for the dross to pass into the decanting space. The charging of the centrifuge takes place via inner hollow shaft (32). Due to the relative speed difference between the housing (10) and the screw conveyer the separated solid matter is moved towards the outlet. The housing (10) is fitted with several tubes (40) serving as a fluid outlet from the decanting space.
