Double sail for sailing surfboard - has sail fixed to boom and with handgrip loops on each side

The sailing surfboard (1) has a mast hinged on the board without stays. Two sails are fitted, one above and one below the boom (10) also hinged on the mast (8). The sails are fixed to the boom using slots above and below the boom. Hand grip loops (24) are sewn to each side of the boom so that a complete sail surface is presented to the wind. Reefing tapes (16) are fitted on both sails, which can slide in grooves up the mast. In this way the sail area can be trimmed to suit the wind conditions.
